No4 Lee Enfield Scope mounts

I putting a scope on my one of my NO4 Enfield I have a ATI and S&K, and a old 50,s something Williams side mount but it is too high for me. ATI and S&K both will not hold the zero. Both my Enfield have been cut down so drilling and tapping is not a problem. I am thinking of weaver TO-1 48203 then stacking a weaver flat base with 8/40 screws. TO-1 with 22 rings will not hold under such heavy recoil, Then there is the ugly option of the Indestructible Scope Mount The Indestructible Scope Mount. I wish I could afford a parker hale scope mount. It looks nice and made to take the recoil. Any Ideas out there that I have not come up with. I know that nice scope mounts out there but the cost is a factor.

Forget the TO-1 stacking idea, soft aluminum and fine threads don't jive. They'll strip before you can get them tight enough to withstand the recoil. Get yourself one of the steel Fulton mounts from Brian Dick.

For me it's a pleasure to shoot my No.4 MKI with Fulton mount bought from Brian Dick

You can buy the same as the fulton/armalon mount on ebay for around $60 and is an all steel mount.

This my first post on this site . I also have a scope mount challenge, I have a 1944 BSA (Shirley) that has been altered in the receiver area. I know that I need a side mount , I was surfing on the subject and found a mount that might work can anyone tell me if a weaver T5 3/4" side mount might work ? I will try to post pics as soon as possible.

I am lover of all the vintage* (except in women...although you never know).
My fastback is year 69..a year older than me (is 1600cc twin carburetor irs suspension), they are not very common here...the most popular is the german beetle pre 1960 or modern Brazilian models.
Over the enfield here assemblies some photos of my pachmayr lo swing, and today I found for sale other rare enfield vintage mount ...the stith...I do not know but looks well made ..is adjustable, ideal for non centered reticle scopes like tel No53 /sadly they don't ship to my country...Although I have not other sportized enfield to mount it..
