make me wonder what my lil Carbine would fetch..??
There is no accounting for taste......or lack thereof. CC
You can buy a stock 1917 anywhere, but you can`t buy a one of a kind custom 1917 anywhere.
I guess the prices for all those new in wrapper grenade launcher sights will double overnight now. ;)
No wonder it got so high, it's the rare version with a 6 shot magazine ;)
They are all six shot--try it if you don't believe it . Most only figure it to be a five shot because they used 5 shot strippers from the '03 because the govt. didn't bother to design an odd one for the 1917 only , but the mag will hold six .

only big issue i see, is the muzzle brake isnt centered, could be a bad thing when fired..
i used to make, install and sell brakes...if your off, it will cause probblems.
Wow, it really does take all kinds. I bet the recoil is unpleasant.
I probably did not sell because C&R people can't buy it. By definition of the C&R laws, the gun must be in original configuration if the Feds want to make a Federal case of it. They will over look change of grips, refinish and different sights but this pup seems over the pale.
I they took took a bubbed rifle to begin with and put on a .308 win barrel, it would be a fun rifle, but to chop a nice winchester to make that...SAD.
I was watching an on-line auction yesterday and this one came up

30.06 Eddystone with a 22" barrel.
Interesting, but not sure of what the reasoning is behind it.
Perhaps, but again..to what end?
To cut the end off the regular length barrel and then mount the original front sight would require machining new sight cuts in the barrel. Not to mention the work required to cut and modify the stock and handguard to accept the upper band/bayo lug.
