Cheers,

I'll be there with a few rifles. For UK HBSA-ers/LERA types, "Smith Arms" will be there with a range of historic military firearms.
Perhaps they habitually shoot Brits in Newark, NJ?
Went a couple of years ago and apart from Thunderbox's stand there was only a couple or three Enfields to be seen.
The show is huge (by UK Shooting standards) and had to wait in line for about an hour to get in.
There are only so many variations of green wellies and waxed jackets and after three or four halls of them you give up the will to live
Never again.
I'll be there on Saturday. I think the 'classic' arms area has grown in the last few years and it's nice hunting for and sorting through the odd vintage rifle on the more general dealers' racks too. I found my all matching 1917 SSA SMLE there last year, in amongst much more modern stuff on a dealer's rack.
(Certainly needed wellies last year - I think poor 'SmithArms' awoke to find WW1 conditions of standing water on his dealer floor!);)
All the best
Mike
I understand that, this year, we are all in one enormous marquee, and that there are quite a few more firearms stands grouped together.
They could do with cutting out about 50% of the (made in China) "English country clothing" stands, though.....
I'll be manning the "Lovat Societies" display of Sniping weapons.
Say hello if you're in the neighborhood you never know there may be spare beer or two:cheers: on offer for the price of donation to Help for Heroes.
Cheers,
Simon.
P.S. I'm no longer the Lard Arse in my profile pic:yikes:
Sorry won't be going would love to see lovat's display.
I can vouch for Simon's weight loss and if your going here's latest picture of him so that you can recognise him easily:lol:
I hope you are all sitting down, THE WIFE IS TAKING ME !, yep she has no real interest and think's I am quite sad when I'm hugging my No4 T but it's my birthday soon and she said she would buy me something nice , any suggestions chaps?
Same here, would like to see display and put a few names to some faces, but the entry is a bit steep (doesnt do much to promote the sport in my opinion), and the fuel to get there, leaves me skint.
One of the lads in the club went last year, he said the £6 for a bacon sarnie put him off this year.
My wife goes to gunshows with me, probably why I control my spending, you can guarantee to find her in the jewelry section if I've overspent, *** for tat she reckons.
Now that has to be the height of carrying correctness too far, a common expression with no sexual comutation is edited, I wonder what will happen if I mention a type of bird, you know the one, tiny greyish yellow, what is it again, oh yes, a tomtit.
The "wife at the gunshow" thing isn't always bad... mine convinced me to buy my No6 when it was offered to me at a gunshow :D... But as muffet has said, them knowing you have spent can have repercussions ... at one stage we almost had as many of these as rifles! Jeez they took up some space :banghead:... good thing she took them with her...
