That is a very nicely done target rifle indeed!obviously got a nice history to go with it as well.
The one main difference I find with it between what you have and what we have here in Australia is the absence of the " king screw". Thats is the king screw with the sling swivel that usually replaced the standard one. I wonder now if it was just an Australian thing and not a commonwealth thing.

Trooper....... now that I'm in the mood....... If I hear the word King Screw again, you'll find yourself on Company Orders first thing on Monday morning facing 2 days Jankers. Now stand up and tell the class that it is the SCREW, front trigger guard!

There are heaps of that type of rifle around Aussie ranges, but the finish on that is fantastic. If I saw that in the range shop, or any other market place it'd last about 3 seconds. Beaut find, and well done Fultons!

The said part is not as I said it was. It is SCREW front trigger guard.
I will now put my uniform on with hat khaki fur felt and report to the guardroom where the RP sergeant will give me drill in double time for 2 hrs on the parade ground.
Screw front trigger guard, screw front trigger guard, screw front trigger guard got it Mr Laidler!!

I have one question while trooper is doing his Jankers (HaHaHa) i have a military issuse BSA 1915 looking the same in fact the serial# is 3969 with range sights without the issue rear sight .How can you have the issue sights on and use the range sight down at 300,400,500yds

The rear sight blade only has been removed on this one. It along with the original safty parts were in a plastic bag in the buttstock.

Looks like it has the upgraded fancy wood.It was an option when ordering from BSA.I have a early commercial SMLE MKI and a Commercial CLLE with the same type of wood.Will try and post pics.
