It is very possible that it was just a light stamping
My American Swiss mark is only partially struck and very hard to see. There were also many unmarked bands used.
I'd suggest getting CC issue #361
You will see that there isn't a problem with this band on a 5.4 Inland. It is the most comprehensive report I've ever seen and will answer any questions you may have.
I would also ask myself the question; why would someone put a $250 Rockola band on a common Inland?
