If you want a good shooter, then you have to test the rifle. Both of them!
Seriously, if you have the nerve (and willpower?) - buy both (that's the nerve bit), try both, keep the better one, and sell the other (that's where the willpower bit comes in).
Of course, in the real world...??? How about a slightly cheaper kitchen?
They both look great. Decent value too.
If I hadnt agreed to pay $1800 for bamboo in mid-november in cash, then yes I would have bought both and delayed the kitchen 6 months, no biggee....cant now Ive agreed to cough up....***bangs head against wall***

Well my wife wouldnt agree and I want to keep my nads....LOL.
If I got both my son would want one of them, no chance of on-selling one.....little bugger, I think he'll shoot better than me in a year or two....if Im lucky...
The UF55 has a "proper" serial number while the other I know not what it is......that could be good or bad.
Get the UF55. It is a known quantity and more sought after than thge rest
Yeah thats what I thought, so I Did so last night, corresponded with the owner after sale....sounds very positive.
Strange that the last Fulton I saw went for $2k and this went for $750 incl sight
So I have my range rifle for Trentham this year which starts in 2 or 3 weeks....
:D
Though I need to check it out and set up.
Hi,
The one you didn't buy is mine, and I think the one you bought used to be mine ( can't find the old serial number to confirm)
Steve
Bummer...some history of it would be nice just in case (PM me), Ive asked the owner who he bought it off, if it was "steve" I might conclude 2+2 = 4
Ive been looking for 6+months with no joy and damn me if 2 didnt turn up at once. My son shoots as well and I would have got this as a passing all his exams gift. He so wants one, nothing like a fat carrot....LOL.
cheers.
Wow, the Parker Hale I had listed on Trademe went for $935. Great battle towards the end, went a bit higher than I thought it would!
Yeah if the other one I got for $750 is good, it wont be a bad deal, should be here today! :D There is quite a bit of interest on shooting these now, but I guess its a bit of pot luck on the day just whos interested.....I thought it would go for $1k, hence why I snapped my one at $750.....
regards
Well it arrived....very tidy IMHO...stripped it down seems little used though the slot in the main trigger screw's a bit worn so ideally I need a new one.
Some interesting things,
a) The lower forestock to wrist was packed with brass shim, its thin stuff I'll measure when im....uh...sober....tomorrow...
b) The lower forestock seems std til we get to the re-inforce then that' s got some sort of packing right around the lower half, 3 to 9pm....shims i think plus something else.
c) At the muzzle and other points there are 2 inches of some sort of bedding compound as pads, putty almost....so the barrel has multiple support points.
d) on 4 points along the barrel its had weld spots added and then 3 were filed back...the one at the re-inforce is till there, fine tuning vibrations maybe.
I'll post some pics once I get the iphone off my wife....
