On occasion it could be a healthy thing to show off a wee bit of your collection, strickly educational. For now I'll just put up a few pics and let you fellows take from there. I'd love to see what everybody is collecting these days-SDH:D

I saw some British comando knives at a flea market for $55.00, they were new and had the manufactures name and London on the blade. Are they the real thing? I wanted to get one but didn't want to pay for something that was not real.
Here are some fairly recent gunroom pics, though not all my guns are depicted, of course.

Claven, that lathe looks new. Obviously it isn't. Did you do the paint job?
Nice piece of equipment anyway.
I love the whole pic sequence! It's a far cleaner version of mine (I have a 57 Leblond and 63 tree mill). The older stuff is far better in my honest opinion than the newer stuff. The guns are fantastic, all of you folks!-SDH

Nice stuff, Skippy. I really like the little Arisaka carbine. Is that one of the Thai post-war reworks?
Here are mine save for another 03A3 and a Lend Lease Remington 1903 Brit return. The Enfield is a Savage, 1942

Does anyone collect .22 pump rifles??? I am looking for a nice Marlin M-18 & 20.........
OOPS........got a picture repeat......maybe a moderator will delete one???? I dont know how....
There is no sense sensation to equal the look, feel smell of old military rifles............ PJH
Hey, nice looking stuff you guys got out there ... not sure I am in the same class level but I'll show some of what I am working with
Are the Luger looking pistols mostly Ermas??? Interesting angle for a photo!!! What is the 5th gun from the left??? Is the first one a cast aluminum replica from Lytle Novelty Co. in Ca??? I had one in 1947, lost it but still have a 'Broom, 1911, and 2 SA Colts from them.
Well my collection can't compare to some of the others but here are a few pictures of my Type 99 Arisaka.
You have a rifle, bayonet and ammunition. That in itself is a good collection. :)
Remember you can only shoot one at a time so even if you have 100 guns, some will end up not getting used as much as they should be. ;)
Dimitri
Some really neat stuff among everyones "junque."

But, What Got Me Interested Was What My Grandfather Past Down To Me.... 1953 Hungarian M52 Sniper Rifle With The "02" Stamped On Everything,sn#bc3534, Only Thing That Was Missing Was The Scope I Have The Orginial Mount"no Scope". I Ordered One But Not The Same, The One That I Ordered Goes With The Mosin Nagant Russian Snipers. It's Pretty Hard To Fine Anything For This Gun!?!?!
Wow!
Lots of nice hardware.
.,.MJ..,
Some people have already died and gone to paradise, if they can afford to shoot some of these rifle babes often.
Other than the actresses of our choice, these photos are an excellent depiction of heaven.
Oh my god !
You guys really have a whole lot of simply beautiful guns !
Absolutely great... I just hope that I'll also have such a collection one day.
Regarding some of your post I kind of get the impression that you live in weapon store or something !
Man especially these heavy machineguns or the thompson are simply incredible. Do you guys shoot such rare guns or do you "just" collect 'em?
Congratulations for these nice collections !
Gruß von Colorado Paula
I don't know about the others, but everything I have in my collection that I do not shoot, I have another of the same make & model that I do shoot.
I was in Oklahoma 2 weeks ago for a weekend BBQ and shoot. I took a Sten, Thompson, MP 40, BAR, Bren Gun and select fire FN/FAL to shoot.
It was a fun weekend!
Sarge
Ah ok! that makes sense. I couldn't just have such great guns. I'd have to shoot them at least a couple of times !
BBQ and guns ! That's what I call a weekend !
By the way: Ever been to Germany?! The 'ß' is not known to the most people...

Wohin leben Sie?

Ich wohne in Remscheid (Solingen or Wuppertal is very near to RS; it's right between Colgne in the south and Düsseldorf in the north).
Are there any rifle or shooting clubs anywhere close to you? Also you would find people interested in weapons & military history at the different Waffen or Militar Börse. There is a large gun show somewhere close to you, but I don't remember where it is. I've never been to it, but used to go to the other large one in Stutgart regularly. Also went to a large one in Berlin about 8 or 9 yrs ago.
Here is the 3. installment of my collection.
MP 40s, MP 43/44/StG 44, BAR/Thompson, Bren/Stens and squad automatiks. I have all but the ruskie DP 28 which I'm looking for.
Sarge
I will definately visit the Oktoberfest someday. It just became very expensive.
More than 10 $ for a litre of beer are pretty insane.
Yeah we have hundreds of shooting clubs around here. At least 3 or 4 in my city only. There is one in every district. I never heard about a big gunshow around here because our media avoids any contact to firearms but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks !
That is such a nice collection ! The Mp43/44; Stg 44- collection is just great.
Aahhhh...
Can't edit my post cause I'm no distributing member, sorry...
Does anybody know wether there are any gunshows around Cologne or Düsseldorf ?
Can't find any on the net besides one Stuttgart and in Austria.

Hi Klunk, nice collection. Can you call me please for some targetshooting if you own someday the " USS Missouri " ??? Give you my phone number. :-)
Do you have also the heavy " Schlittenlafette" for the 08/15 ?

Unless I am mistaken, only the '08s came with the 'sled mount'
08/15s with a removal bipod....
https://www.milsurps.com/images/impo...8/max155-1.jpg
Hi Klunk, nice pic. This is the "Light MG" with Bipod ( 17,6 kg ) but it was also used with the Sled Mount on wich it was more accurate. The later 08/18 was than the "Ultra light" version and air cooled ( 14.5 kg ). Can you have this in full auto ? We can have only the semi auto version and then everybody think you are a little weird when you go shooting. Enjoy it.

https://www.milsurps.com/images/impo...Milsurp4-1.jpg
These knives like the one above were issued to the 10th Mountain Division, and a joint US/Canadian force known as the 1st Special Services Force, "The Devil's Brigade", a forerunner of today's Special Forces. If they were issued to other groups, I'm not aware of it. HTey were made by ULSTER KNIFE COMPANY, NY
Some fun stuff I had laying around.

You see these for sale at various places advertised as "sailor's knives". THey weren't. They were actually given to British soldiers. Made a variety of Sheffield knife makers under contract. This one was made by WATTS. Strictly business, built like a tank and snap like an alligator nearly seventy years later.

Latest addition is the Kongsberg Lang Krag M1894, 2nd from top, left side. Goes along with the other Kongsbergs. The M1916 and the 1914 in 11.25mm.
The current Norwegian issue rifle is, as per the AG3 underneath the 1914. I'm still trying to figure out who the brain surgeon was who developed the butt for that stock. Almost as fun to shoot as the LE #5.

I often wonder why i never come across any really nice peices every now and again. now i know why, some guys have ten of each and they are all awesome!! So jelous
The ones I collect are strictly WW II and have small numbers stamped on the grip, they are believed to be mold #"s and cross guards must have the British arrow head (chicken foot) w/wo a number, this rule applies to type 2's and type 3's. The difference being the handles and blades. If your going to jump into commando daggers, I would invest in the Flock Book prior to large cash out transactions. As far as the ones you described they are of recent mfg. Down here they command $50. to $100, but I stay away from them. HTH-Steve
