WWII M1 Garand Rifle Scabbard

It is original. Nice condition too ;)
-
I thought it was original...but wasn't sure about the strap keepers. So I thought I'd just wait. The rest is gorgeous...

I think straps have been replaced along the years. Their leather is a different colour if compared to the scabbard one.
-
Many cases the straps had disappeared and had to be sourced...
-
-
And the straps are different from the rifle scabbard...so...
-
Do you think the straps have been replaced also in this scabbard ?
One strap is missing ...
-
I think( for what that's worth) these are original. They appear to match, I meant they were different from the other straps by the method they're constructed. No, I think this one's all correct. I'm still not sure about the straps on the other. There's a few here that will be along to confirm them...eventually.

I have been surfing the web and I could only find M1 Carbine Leather Scabbard which are repros like these ones ...
No original ones at ebay or at gunbrokers ...

What do you think of this US equipment made in Canada ?
USGI Z.L. T. Ltd Canvas Ammo Belt
-
I've never seen on made by ZL T before but I know we had that sort of thing in Europe during the transition between .303 and 7.62. This is before that so I wonder if it was an LL item...? There's no info on them in Ballou's book. I'd say it's a scarce piece...maybe even for evaluation before production...
-
Thank you, browningautorifle.
I am sorry for asking that, "LL" stands for ?
-
Lend Lease...usually referring to weapons...like our M1s so marked as used by UK.
-
Understood. Thanks again.
