I think all of the usual suspects will find their way here, and I see that some already have done so. The change was made for what seems to be very good reasons, so I am willing to give it a try. It is regrettable that the knucklehead spammers have forced this upon the Culvers and the Forum members but it may turn out to be a good thing for all concerned. Let's hope so.

I hope more will come over. It is the knowledgable and friendly people who made the CMP. The format was very old and cannot keep up with the security issues of today. Sure, I was comfortable with the old site too.
The carbine site is really picking up as people get used to it.
There's LOTS of benefits using this format and it just takes getting used to them. At least it won't get spammed. I don't think it'll drag down (and sometimes stop) like the old site did.
Some dedicated people spent a lot of time saving the CSP. The greatest thing about the CSP is the people who post there.

Here's another picture with a different background that shows the fire blue and glossy finish on the early pistols pretty well. The top pistol in this photo is No.198, which never had a rampant colt marking applied to its slide. All the early pistols ae interesting.

Those are old photos. Both pistols are shown on coltautos.com in the M1911 section. I'm pretty sure both sides are shown there.
