The barrel date on mine is 9-42, type one band, stock highwood I cut LA in slingwell, safety is checkered, mag catch EI.

How about a four digit? Sn. 3690 w/6-42 barrel. It's one of the first batch of M1A1 carbines.

Mine's a 90619 with a 11-42 barrel.

That's early. Mine is 13961, 7/42. Ray

I had one in the 70??? range. Traded it off 3 or 4 yrs ago.
