Can someone help me identify what type of lee enfield this is?? The stock is not autentic unfortunately :( have a feeling the same goes for the barrel, but the rest of the gun has the same number.

Sporterised furniture but it looks like the barrel is full length so not impossible to put back to military spec if you so wish.

Is there any way to look in the chamber whitout loading the gun false (whitout bullets).
Remove the bolt and it can be examined from the rear.
I ment to slide bak the piller-back-mechanic whitout havent to click it afterwards
You hold down the trigger and turn the bolt handle down, the cocking piece will go forward and you don't have to dry fire.

Is this looking correctly? I am afraid the barrel is changed to another caliber, det .303 fits nicely, but i am still afraid, what is the measurements of the barrels outer diameter and the exit hole at det barrel??

Do you not have a bullet to try at the muzzle? The bullet should go in but leave a few mm showing...the casing looks right. What makes you think it's been altered? The pictures show a barrel that should be 303". Or are you telling us that cartridge is stuck in the chamber?
The bullets fits fine in the camber, but when i tru to put the bullet tip in the baller tip it wont go all the way in, that is why i am sceptic...
it should not go all the way in , it should be a tight fit ,
this is a BSA dispersal rifle , i would make the effort to return it to military configuration ,
I am going to try to find the parts to Get it back to original shape as it was in 1942. Is it a plus that it is BSA?

Looks about right to me...I'm pretty sure it's still in 303"...
Glad to hear :) the gun was used under the war in norway, AirDrop from the british. The former norwegian soldier hold on to the gun inntill he passed away couple of weeks ago, i bought it from a family member, also got some of hes spare ammo whit on the deal :)

Yes :) how is it to get the hold of the parts i need to get it back in original condition? And what is it going to cost aproximitly? What parts do i miss to do that??
You'll need to look on Ebay and see if you can find the wood, at least three parts of it. You have the rear handguard, which to me is the hardest piece to find. You need almost all of the metal for the front end, the band, the swivels and screws, the bayonet boss and screws and spring...rear sight protector ears and screw...

I do not know where in Norway you will be able to buy the parts - You may have to buy them from the USA.
It is a nice rifle with a history, if you can, restore it to its former glory.

Not the variation that I think BSA used in 1942 but in my opinion it's the earlier better type.
