See pics. Results in groups several inches right at 100 yards. Obviously I can use the windage on the ladder to compensate, but I'd prefer to have the front post dead center.

Easy fix, either gently bend the blade straight with pliers resting the flat of the tip on the base or just replace the blade altogether.
When I adopted mine the blade was bent even worse being a cheap sob I just bent it,, good as new!
as i posted.....likely the barrel is out of index. take a picture of the left side of the receiver were the line is..

Shouldn't the sight base butt up against the turned shoulder ? Looks to me that someone fiddled with it and threfore had to recut the pin groove . Maybe he recut it wrong ? Maybe the correct cut is still under there.

Just to add info, this target was 5-8 mph winds at 140 degrees from the shooter, 100 yards. The rear leaf had to be moved one mark left to even hit the paper.

Am I the only one who thought the blade looks bent in the first picture?

I don't know, but it sure looks like the front sight stud is at an angle in relationship to the barrel centerline.
In the first picture, the front of the stud is slightly right of center and the rear is slightly left.
Have you tried a different front sight stud?

Correct, the barrel and sight base centerline (with the dovetail cut) are parallel along the centerline. The sight base that fits in the dovetail cut is what is at an angle.Quote:

Do I need to remove the rear sight collar?
Looking at the first pic and running line from the centre flame point to the muzzle that whole sight block is heading to the right in a big way as the blade if bent would look out of place in the sight block but the whole thing appears rather sadly skew whiff as per Dad comment perhaps bubba played somewhere long the line! :dunno:
The collar & receiver witness marks do alighn in the pic but are the actual barrel witness marks alighned with the receiver ? You would need to slide the rear sight base forward to confirm .If the sight sleeve if factory installed you will need to remove the barrel & un pin the sleeve They are easy to damage . May be a job for Chuck .
Thanks. I managed to get the sight straight. The screw hole in the sight was filled with crap, any time you tried to tighten the screw down, so that the unthreaded portion of the screw seated in that hole, the sight would cant. After cleaning things up, I was able to put the sight back in the base and screw the sight on straight.
Sooooo, basically you beat it with a hammer and now your good to go? Welcome aboard!!!...;)
