Is anyone in? If I can find my way here then even the worlds most computer illiterates should be able to do it
Well, this is it. Looks OK to me. Just got to find myself a nice easy chair, put steel helmet on and get some typing done

Just a a matter of interest, what happens to all of the info from the OLD site(s). Can it still be resurrected if need be?
Hello Peter, glad you made it over. Don't know what will happen with the old board. Hope the useful info can somehow be transferred over here. If not, get out your books and notes and get cracking man!! :-)
Welcome,
T.D.
The Culvers will still be moderating this new site, so they will probably have acc to the old information. As to whether or not they will be to transfer it over remains the question.
I'm here, but I had to leave my old ID at CSP.....
Lets try a picture...

Hi all - I've come over - posted as BenH on the forum - started my account here a while ago but at the time was sparsely populated so didn't come back very often.
Well Peter since you'r here, I am still looking for the
"cover,end muzzle attachment" and the
"Guide, cartridge, blank, feedblock, front," for my Vickers.
Surely, somewhere on a shelf in some back room, there must be boxes of these bits that you might spare one of each for a poor colonial:crying:
It's great to see so many signing on. I need my daily fix of all your company.

Patrick and Peter
I have a couple of Word files with Peters postings/responses from the start 'til 8th Feb 08. I am pretty sure others will have subsequent posts( or they could still be copied). Let me know if you want them
Regards
John
Bindi, does a trip to see us at the School of Infantry feature in your itinery? Drop the wife and kids off shopping in Salisbury and come on over for the day. Lunch in our mess too........
Hello Fellow Enfield Enthusiasts:
Managed to get enough power to connect with the new site.
We have to wait until daylight is well advanced before trying to get on the Internet. Some dastardly fellow nipped up the hilltop Mast and snagged half of the solar power pack energising our IT provider ....... although we report in to work at 0530 we can't get external comm's until daylight is well established!
How's that for relying on a single power supply!!!!
Keep up the sparkling threads of Enfield tales chaps it makes life interesting as all hell!

still lurking. Mind you, my jouster printouts of "...bit(s) of useless information..." are as thick as a manhattan phonebook! (do they still do phone books in one volume?)
I am more of a lurker and don't post much but I found my way here and registered. Looking forward to some interesting reading.
Regards
Peter.
yes Peter: Made it over without any problems other than trying to fix my avatar. Since I was a member of Milsurps before the migration, like you, it was painless in my case. Dave_n

Hello all!!
I didn't post much before. Didn't care for the format but, I like this.
Better Smileys too!
Made it.
Bit like travelling through a Stargate!!!
Is there a list of surviving refugees?
I have been loading for the Snider and plan an "Alpha/Omega" shoot as soon as the weather allows. (That'd be ".577 and 5.7x28 Day")
I fired my Martini before you got to yours---will you now allow me to beat you in the Snider non-race as well?

I did actually shoot my Snider 2 band the other day for the first time; I couldn't get to the range but did manage to blow a sizable hole in my vegtable patch!
The Martini sadly remains unfired at this moment, I really do need to retire so I can shoot more.
Hey Krinko, what's that 'the plough' flag in your resume
Already answered that at the other location---state flag of Alaska, where I was born.

PS "...but did manage to blow a sizable hole in my vegtable patch!" Can't think of a better use for nasty vegetables, Mick.
Boy, it is SUCH a relief to finally track you guys down!! Jeez, I go away f/a week & the whole thing goes to hell!! Anyway, I'm really glad to see everyone here.

I’m selling one of my British Matchbox Cars if anyone is interested. (it has very tight headspace) ;)

Hey, that's mine Ed! Stripped it to the very last nut and bolt (I kid you not) upwards between 1983 and 1986. Even taught myself to 'lead load' so that I didn't need to use filler when joining or flatting panels. I still love it to bits!
