So how do you get the photo to show up large sized in the post rather than a thumbnail?
Use a photo posting site, such s photobucket, and paste the url into your text area.
It's easy I use tinypic.com

I'm really beginning to like this site. I know everyone hates change, but sometimes you just have to in order to improve. Try to remember some of the bad things about the site. Like when it would run like peanut butter or quit working completely.

Duane,
I see you're having some trouble with posting your photo; or at least your photo doesn't show up for me here...
It's very easy to insert a photo hosted by the various free photo hosting sites and doesn't use as much of your allotted photo space here, but you need to know which button to push to get what you need. (Kinda like our wives know how to push our buttons to get what they need from us!) :slap:
When replying, use the 'Go Advanced' button under the 'Quick Reply' window.
(It's not terribly advanced and I think the term scares people off from using it - It just has a few functions similar to MS Word, and some emoticons you can use to the right of the posting area)
In the menu bar above the post area, near right center, is a yellow button that has what looks like two mountains. When you want to insert a photo URL just click on this button and you get a little window to 'paste' you URL into.
*** Under the posting area you can 'Preview Post' just as you could on the old Jouster format to see how your post/picture will look before you push the 'Submit Reply' button ***
I use the 'Advanced Mode' for every post I make just so I can see how it will look before I send it out to the masses.
If you still have a question please do not hesitate to use the feature here to send me a personal email.
(Personal messages and emails actually work here! It seldom did on the old forum because I use AOL)
My last post was meant for JohnF, not Duane.
John, I just noticed the 'FotoTime' moniker in your test post says your picture is disabled. You may have done it correctly here but have things set up private in FotoTime, or you have possibly removed the test photo from the FotoTime format. I use Photobucket so I'm not familiar with how things work using FotoTime.
Hopefully the post I left above will at least be beneficial to someone trying to show a full size photo in their post as opposed to a thumbnail.

Test for me too. I will try a pic, which may not be the best pic, but need to try it. Good to see some familiar names here. Best regards to all.
Thanks to all of you for posting the great 1911 pictures, I never get tired of looking at them. Like my good friend John Holbrook says, "I've never seen one that I didn't want"
One of these days I will try to post some pictures of my stuff.
Today is "One of these days"
Please post some photos if you have time. We all love seeing new photos. :D
