Nice. I have been wanting one but have not found one yet. I will get one sooner or later. All good things come to those who wait.

I'd hate to see what you traded to get it...you still have your arm and legs, right?

Have yoy found a nice stock for it ? Les
I've still got my arms and legs but I'm shy a couple rifles and some cash.
I was lucky and found two. One unmodified and one sanded.
Man alive!! Very nice prize there. Will you shoot it?
Greetings and Congratualtions,
You'll find the 1941 Johnson an enjoyable and comfortable shooting rifle. I've had my latest one for over 10years and taken it to Camp Perry to shot it in the Garand Match a few times. It is still in the original configuration and never refinished. I always felt sorry for the guy two spots over from me on the firing line as the cartridges are ejected at a 90 degree angle and invaritably landed right on their neck:yikes:
If you haven't picked up it up yet, I highly recomend the book by Bruce Canfield on the Johnson Rifles. Its a wealth of information.
Best Regards,
Michael

Nice rifle! I'm now in the hunt for the bayonet. I' m also looking for that very small leaf spring on the right front of the magazine. It's the only piece of the rifle that's not correct.
I could only hope to find one of thoes.
