Wow! First, I wouldn't mind having the stuff myself, even with the lousy finish on everything. Second, and this is just an opinion, but the seller probably did the de-mill himself just to get the stuff on Ebay. Makes me want to hurl when I see what people have done in the name of greed since the phantom M1 carbine ban talk resurfaced.
As far as what the stuff will go for, I think 500 (if everyone is turned off by the finish) to as much as 800 would not be out of the question. I can even see it going for more if two less than intelligent fellows get in a bidding war.
I'll keep an eye on it. I am curious, but not destined to win the stuff. :)
I thought the same thing about the idiot to stupid to put it on Gunbroker [ uncut ] or sell as barreled/reciever or complete with or without stock. GK
What a shame :crying:
I expect that "kit" will end up going for around $600. Possibly higher.....
I wonder if by some chance this was an M2???
Are you talking about the section of receiver missing? I didn't notice that in the description till near the end of the auction. BTW, the kit sold for almost the top price I predicted. I never really thought it would go for that much, but certainly believed it was possible.
If you have the original parts, it won't be that hard...
I thought there was a section missing from the sides.
Likewise, I somehow missed the rear portion of the receiver sitting there when I first looked.
