Hmm. Yes, noticed earlier this evening whilst doing a 'trawl'. Let's hope all potential customers check out this forum if they're seriously thinking about bidding.
Oddly enough I stuck my head through the door of this shop on recent visit to St Mere Eglise and its full to bursting with all manner of "original" and "genuine" 101st and 82nd Airborne stuff too.
I was there earlier this year too. A mixture of battlefield pick-ups and downright Sexton Blakes, of which the telescope is one.Quote:

That has to be one of the best looking reproductions I have ever seen! Scary!
I like how the repro bracket has been roughed up with a file to give it a more "authentic" look, to say nothing of the utterly convincing scope number and leetelle broad arrow stamp!
And nice of them to number the bracket to the scope for that extra inauthentic feel - of and marking it mk3 when it clearly isn't.
Price Drop now. Still very high
I put a 250 offer on it figure it's worth about $500 aussie and he wants more than that so I won't bother I also messaged him and said that it's clearly marked as a fake, just look at the chinese bracket
And for the ill informed they will snap it up perhaps - accountability should be on thew seller to be exact in there description as I have an AK&S MK III on my T it certainly does not look like tha.
And I often wonder how some people lie straight in bed at night, me I am always in the sdh*te for being to honest (Not rudely but up front) and call things as I see them which has caused consternartion sometimes
