Do you you have reason to think they are not?
Not the best photos but all look genuine to me.
They do look real, but it looks like possible stake marks on the dovetail, especially on the left rear corner. I think I can see another stake mark, but won't say for due to the lack of clear pictures.
I also think I am seeing a round 'crater' punch mark that was used for the adjustable sight on the forward dovetail. BUT, the sight shown appears to be 'real' and aged exactly as expected for the rest of the carbine. If that exists, it would be a condition that would be impossible on a carbine in service configuration.
What's the trick to opening the pictures? - I just get a Snapfish "Whoops" error. - Bob
Look good on my phone.
All good on chrome
OK, was able to open the pics with Internet Explorer but not Chrome in AOL. I agree with the others on the band and rear sight - also see the stake marks that were mentioned. - Bob
the stock definitely looks like it has had a wider type II or III band on it at one time to me. Was this carbine advertised as all original when you bought it or just "correct"?
The Quality of pictures could of been better, I used Photo Pro to open them and the Sight Looks good. There are 2 marks, but would those marks make the Rear Sight fake or not ? You can clean up the picture with several applications using Photo Pro.

Most definitely!
This was one I corrected myself. There are stake marks and the stock most likely had another type of band on it at one time. My main concern as I was gathering correct parts was that the rear site and barrel band were in and of themselves genuine as it seems that these two parts are two of the most faked. Regards, j
