I am liking the M14 pics. Please continue.
Are there any that show use of the hinged shoulder rest?
Could be Europe

Thanks Mark those pics are something I hadn't seen before.
I've tried using flap up on my M1A and it's not my favorite. Just wondered if anyone used the thing.
Expending lots of apparently live ammo. Kinda looks like Graf or Hohenfels.
think those are blanks on ground

His rifle doesn't have a blank adapter in place. Most of the cases seem to be short without the long neck of a blank and the one case that might be a blank seems to me to have a pointed end like a dropped live round.
One would like it is training as that looks a fairly exposed position to be firing so many rounds especially if the enemy is entrenched in the tree line would make target definition very hard among the foliage and shadows.
Definitely training Mate. There are fired blank cases by his knee.

Non standard hider on the E2's.
Ed
What's attached to the e2' bayonet lug?
Ed
That is a Stabilizer Assembly. It slides over the flash hider and clamps on behind the bayonet lug.
Cass
Thanks Cass! Can you explain the mechanical working's of the devise?
Regards
Ed
That's right. It's really just a muzzle brake that has smaller holes on the top and larger toward the bottom sides.
Here are a few pictures of one.
