Hi ya'll, I am trying to find out what I have exactly. There are so many markings on the rifle. The serial number is A over the # 13425.
Any help would be much appreciated?
Thanks Ken

Hi Ken,
Surely lots of members here would be eager to help you, but I think they will be lost without much more details.
Firstly can you provide photos of your specimen? Those are the very best way to identify a firearm.
Failing that, provide any details about the various markings and their locations on the rifle, describe them as best you can.
All the best!
Thanks Darren, I will get some pics up but will be tomorrow or the next day.
Thanks again,
Ken
I'll take a wild stab at it: Lee Enfield...No.4....1941 Fazackerly with non-standard parts.
Photos would help. ;)
I'll have a stab also. A 1918 Lithgow?
I'll have a stab at that he's having us on with a question like that...................
I would also like to take a stab at this and query if this stabber would fit what you have there:lol:
Or one of these Stabbers......

Yeah it's sort of like, "I bought this car and need to know what I have. It's red."
Attachment 71434If they fail you can have a stab at it with this!
Mr Bean's 3 wheel terror he keeps chasing!:lol:
You are all so "cutting" with your remarks. How's that Crystal ball coming on??
The pics are forthcoming. Thanks for everything so far.
Well Ken, at least you have a sense of humour, you've taken a bit of ribbing from the members and you are still coming back.
That's always a good thing, I am sure I speak for all of us when I say that we are eager to see the photos of the rifle.
Yep the tip is a tad ratty but better than some I have seen it is untouched I swapped it for a 1917 '07 bayonet so not to bad a deal see pic of the Mei if you can decipher it I think it is around 1944 vintage I had toyed with the idea of getting it refurbed in Japan but have learned they are not doing WWII stuff at all now.Attachment 71472
Can we add a "shanks" button? or maybe one of those funky emoticons "scrambling the eggs"?
Ill "stab" at an almost completley scrubbed Ishapore refurbished blob in 410 and US cut for commercial cartridges.
Happy Friday :)
Thanks BD6 if thats so at least it is not a war expedient massed produced Shin-Gunto this one may perhaps have some quality manufacturing which was attained for the right price as well FTR (for the record) they are selling here in Aus from $900 ~ 1,500.oo/AU
Sounds like a good price. Bought a wakizashi in military furniture for $80 at a flea market in Florida a few years back that turned out to have an 18th century blade. Wife didn't want it in the house, so it was sold. The Kanji can be read a number of ways so without knowing the possible names it is often hard to tell, so I am told by a native speaker. Met a wealthy old fellow who had a large sword collection in Japan. The "negativity" coming off some of his blades made him construct a separate building for them some distance from his house, at least that was how he described it. Too much of this leaves something behind perhaps.
