Yep I'll be there all week .... "helping" out with John at DS-SOLUTIONS. Same pitch as last year.
Let's hope the police don't park lorries on the M20 again.
Currently planning to visit on Monday via a friend who's helping on one of the stalls. May return on the Saturday with son 2 to see the displays. It'll be the first year it hasn't run with Rex Cadman at the helm, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
I'll be there all week, stall W3.
That sounds like preaching to the converted to me.:p
Snoril, whats on the stall ?
Rob, To be honest I was sceptical regarding the title many years ago but after my first visit been going ever since when possible, you need a day at least just to get around the trade stands two would be better, its searching through the boxes of junk and unearthing treasures that pays dividends, there are the obvious ones you have to ignore, this year I'll be searching more of the vehicle stands for some bits for the Bike, in need of two push on/off petrol taps and a speedo......

Well, mostly original US ww2 equipment, and I'll also bring some scopes.
Anyone heard from Tankhunter recently, wanted to know if he is at the show, he usually is.
Got back late last night, an enjoyable two days, good to meet up and put a few names to a few faces, Tankhunter, Kev G, good to see you and thanks Kev for the pint, I was getting more of thirst on later but quenched it with a pint of cider....... Thanks To John, Andy and all at DS-SOLUTIONS for looking after the Bino's, if anyone is looking for a pair of Bino's to go alongside there there No4T I believe John has a nice pair of REL ones.
Although my initial search for bike parts unearthed a few bits, but were just too expensive for what they were, but managed to pick up a No5 and No36 Grenade (inert) for a reasonable price and some other bits and pieces.
Yesterday took in some of the vehicles, maybe its just me but doesn't seem to be the same number when the Show was at Hop Farm ? I will try and get the pics on next week.
Currently planning to go back tomorrow with son 2 if the weather doesn't get too hot again. I didn't make it any further than the trader stalls on Monday, so this will be to see the displays, etc.
During the 90's I was talking to one of the Instrument Tech Sergeants on the PRE team (the annual inspection team) and he said that they occasionally came across old REL No2 binos and another US type, similar in size to the old No2's called 'stereoscopic vision' or was that a trade name for Bauch and Lomb - or both. These were usually with the OTC's (the University Officer Trg Corps) or the old public/private school Cadet Forces. If they were serviceable, that's where they'd stay! Most of these organisations worked on the well established 'old boys net' where 'the old boys' were now high up within the Armed Forces/Judiciary/Politics/Police/finance/banking....... you know the sort of thing. So the old boy net was a bit like wartime lend lease - but on a bigger scale!
Had a pleasant day out there ydy along with Nigel & Dave T. Didn't buy a huge amount but did pick up a NOS Long Branch walnut forend for 20 & a bag of severnty-odd original No32 bracket thumb screws. Must have a look & see if any have got a little C ^ on them!
