Could have posted this in Edged Weapons.............or with the Lee Enfields, but hey anywheres good if you bother to look.
Pulled out my bag of Bayonets to retake pic's after my Ransomeware attack.
All the bayonets I accumulate get greased up and wrapped in gladwrap, then thrown back into the box, only to surface when needed.

What makes the hookie Muffer ? I'm sifting through mine so I can see whats what and whats going for sale.
Would not mind some of that junk in my room Muffet at least 5 of those bayonets are commanding good prices especially the Hooked Quilion anywhere from $850 - $5,000/AU (the later was for an early Lithgow Hooky it did not sell) Thanks for sharing.
Is the scabbard which is fitted onto the hooked 1907 of the double seamed type, i.e. has a join in the leather front and back? Or has the leather been fitted the wrong way round with a single seam to the front?
That's a double seam scabbard...nice. Quite scarce. I had one...
Wasn't it just the Australian manufacturers who made a few double seam scabbards? I haven't even seen an example "in the flesh".
I don't think it was JUST the Aussies making them. It was a method of using smaller pieces of leather up.

The UK made double seamed but only for a short period, the Australians made them for a lot longer but after WWI so the Hooker is in the wrong scabbard as it would have been cropped before then if in Army service, it could however be police as I believe they used them for a lot longer
Some of what I have, 1921 Lithgow/No clearance hole/Small stud 1921 Lithgow Dbl stitch Scab, 1916 JAC/Large stud scabbard, 1918 Vickers/Tear drop stud not sure if the tear drop is right for this one but it is as I brought it.
The tear drop is right for the hook 1907 and the double seam this one...
I believe that I read somewhere that the switch to the round frog stud was optional and not all producers did; some stayed with the tear drop?
Not that I know of. Those are always spoken of as early. I've not seen any that seem to be after, say, WW1.
