Does anybody know the stock manufacturer of a Bavarian Underwood M1. It is a pot belly style marked AAC in sling well and letter K inside, there are no proof or refit marks. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, has a birchy yellow look to it.
There are no other markings. 3 holes under butt plate
It may very well be a Beechwood replacement stock. Known used by the West Germans and Austrians.

They can really range in color, depending how it took the stain.

Looks like birch to me. The US never used beech in any rifle stocks that I am aware of.

I can't tell about the OP's stock, not enough to see in that picture. Also would expect a SA stamp IF it were Birch. Therefor just guessing on his, as he says it's on a Bavarian UEF.
Be it War time or post War, I've never seen the use of Beech by SA.

Just wondering out loud if the 'AAC' might be 'Augusta Arsenal, C inspector' as in a rebuild. Typically the AAs were marked on the side of the stock under the rear sight but perhaps this was years later?
The AAC shown in the sling well would not be for Augusta. The stock does not look like a Birch stock as the stain used is too smooth. Birch is a tough wood to stain uniformly and comes out blotchy looking. This stock is nice and uniform. I would guess it's most likely a German or Austrian made stock.
