Roughly about later November 1943 for your serial number.
Here's SG 3,473,548 with odd slingwell markings.
A boxed S'G' with a large Crossed Cannons stamped either under or on top of the stock makers mark- J.
J would be a Jewel Bros replacement stock. No M2 cut. Jewel Bros had a contract for replacement stocks , Production dates were Aug 44-April 45.
All this for only $1200..... !
Thoughts......... :ugh:

I know the Crossed Cannon stamp is hard to see.
But when I look at it magnified @ 300% it looks to be the same stamp as pictured below.
This is one of the Early Repro Inland stamps.

Same Repro Inland stamp, maybe better view:

Yep, that is a rare find. Definitely the Jewel stock marking. I think someone just wanted to try out the SG and CC stamps that they bought on ebay. Maybe they thought that the CC was going to cover up the J.
Hi Wayne,
Looks as though he has a few more Stamps tucked away.
Here a QHMC being offered on the same site (But calling it a Rock Ola):

I think I see a Grand Rapids TH and trigger on that one. The description describes it as a "fine piece of working history" and "chambered for .30 Carbine ammunition." That's a plus! - Bob
OK..
Last one today I promise.
Don't you hate it when you forget to use your Fake UEF over GHD stamp and CC BEFORE you varnish your stock !
Yes, Same seller.

Darn distractions... :bash:
Yep same seller.

But Charlie everyone knows that stamps bounce and bounce and well they just bounce. But the ones with the stamps want people to know just what they have made for them. I mean how kind can they be to the unknowing buyer right? This way they know they are getting an RMC to OI back to RMC to QRMC. Stocks just don't get any rarer then this now do they.:crying:
Isn't my fault Bruno
It was a Email from Ole Saginaw BobbieG from WA State (Originally Nigeria) that alerted me to the S'G'/CC/J marked slingwell.
I just ran with it after seeing the other Gems being offered up by that seller.
I'm thinking about starting a FAKE OF THE WEEK or FAKE OF THE DAY post.
But to be honest I get a sick tummy seeing all this WWII wood ruined.
Not wood but imagine what this poor metal frame went thru and how it must feel like now.
Carbines have feelings too right Bruno ?

JB weld is good to have for emergency repairs and it blends in so well you can hardly see the fix.
