They also have the case sling Scope Case Sling, Leather, Reproduction | Gun Parts Corp. $28.25
Postage would probably cost me the same as the tin! In USD no less...
Is any one selling these in the uk?
Not in the Uk, as far as I am aware. Definitely a gap in the market... Those for sale in France are much more expensive: see United Kingdom - A.A.S.
Rob
At least the Chinese repros have stamped lettering as the originals!
there are some reproduction No8 tins for sale in the UK (ebay), they are the square corner type. and are stamped as reproductions, so they can not be passed off as originals, but still good for protecting your investment in a 32 scope,
There are also reproduction No8 Mk2 "tins"
I am keen on some of the round cornered type. I might have to ask an American friend to bring one or two over. I presume they fit the brackets ok?
Yes thy fit my brackets very well.
I imported around 10 of the repro tins few years ago, they are very good, but I asked them not to have any markings on them IIRC. if any one is interested then I could bring some more in, I cant remember the price but I think they worked out at £120 that covers the initial cost and import duty etc and my time....
If anyone in the UK is buying anything from the US just remember the import duty and the vat on the product and the shipping, take note on the shipper to as some charge some high handling fees if there delayed at customs etc.

Hi Bigduke6,
If you where to bring some in at around £120 I would be keen for two
Question is how long can you wait ? I'm too busy for anything at present as I'm getting ready to build an extension, I'm behind schedule but probably a good thing due to the weather we have had !! not easy trying to squeeze the contents of a detached 1930's garage into a temp 8'x8' temp built OSB shed...... this is minus the two lathes, milling machine and pillar drill.
Must admit though, I didn't realise just how much crap I've collected over the years, but have found a few things I've been looking for.
I can wait a while, When where you thinking?
To be honest I couldn't put a time on it, I doubt it would be this year.......
Maybe, there is a slim chance in that sort of time I may be visiting the states myself (once again not something I could put a date on) but short of that I would be very keen.
No worries, but in the mean time look out for the original ones on ebay etc, they turn up when you least expect it, don't be put off by the ones with the internals removed, they can be easily repaired.
like the old Blue Peter saying here's one I did earlier (link below)

Very nice, I’ll keep a look out for them.
