I was gifted these boxes. Have no idea what kind they are. Maybe one of you more experienced folk can tell me 2 kinds. One FN in its box, the other was loose ammo. https://imgur.com/a/sDGpXom

Your link doesn't work.
Here then Bruce, pictures...
Left 30-06 Fabrique Nationale Belgium made FyA on box was used by Argentina showing ammo was suitable for rifles (Fusilo) and MG (Ametrilldos)
Right Egyptian probably 7.9 Mauser, can't tell without side pic.
Will post soon
Again for posterity and ease, the pic in question.
Had no problem with 8mm Egyptian, they had them for their FN49 and Hakims, I believe.
 I don't think you should shoot them. Just send them my way and I will shoot them for you
I suppose you don't have a dial caliper? Easy to measure the bullet at the case mouth and the length of the case. IE... 7.92×57mm Mauser - Wikipedia
I know I was a builder/smith for a shop before i moved. Had all the tools at my disposal but was very rare i got to work on older rifles. 8mm isn't something i can visually tell. I may just go outside and fire a couple rounds and hope for the best. I'll update tomorrow!
Egyptian ammo is very corrosive.
We used to joke that is was so corrosive that you had to clean between rounds':)
CLEAN WITH WATER AFTER SHOOTING! Bolt face too.
Then regular clean and lube.
AZB
The 30-06 and the 8mm are all corrosive primed. FN did not switch over to non corrosive till half way through 1958. Now the 8mm could be Egyptian or it could be Iranian which has a lot of click.....bang or just click. Lot of that was floating around a few years ago.
