Panzerbusche 39...that was easy...
Panzerbüchse 39 - Wikipedia
:lol: too easy.....right try this one!!!
This could be fun...if Jim wasn't so darn quick!;)..or such an early riser.
Seriously, though, that German rifle looks very futuristic for its time - especially in the wiki photo. Put an orange glowing tip on the muzzle and I might have guessed a phaser rifle from Star Trek.
It has all the hallmarks of an Accuracy International frame until the butt of course!! I looked particularly at their square watches!!
Any takers on the second one?
RE the 1st picture---Man the muzzle blast and energy release in that little room must have been horrendous. I see no ear protection but that was probably the least of their problems with tanks advancing.
Ear protection in WW2.....

The 7.92x94 round it fired was a strange round using a small 7.92 projectile but with a large case.
Comparison with a standard 7.92x57 Mauser round.

Roy,
Top of the class only three made by Bremmer Arms on PH takeover. Called the Black Mamba, real shame it didn't at least see the light of day.
Attached a good article on it and some interesting views on how Bremmer Arms shaped up to the challenge!!!
We didn't get ear protection in the British Army until 1971.........fact, small useless plastic plugs in a pastic container we tied tto ourt epaulettes on our smocks as they were always needed to hand, especially with the ring of the SLR, worse than a Sunday morning bells ringing at our local church.
my photo shows the 7,92x57, Polish 7,92x107 and German 7,92x94.
It was said that the Polish 7,92x107 would penetrate the early Panzer tanks
I though III
Later with captured Polish 7,92x107, the Germans removed the bullets and loaded
them in the 7,92x94Attachment 116345
