Hi all, just finishing up a break at my in-laws apartment in the Lake District. Just the tonic, wide open space, few people (if you avoid the tourist traps), nothing puts problems into perspective like miles hiking in jaw dropping countryside for a week.
That second photo freaked me out for a second. I thought you took a side trip to Vietnam in the 1970's.
It gave me too a very strange feeling:lol:

I cruised the length of Lake Windermere. I wish I had had more time there.

You can visit the place where they were built. There's a Sunderland lovingly preserved at RAF Hendon. This aircraft had the unusual configuration of having its bombs stored in the midsection and then winched up to racks that were rolled out under the wings to be dropped!
