Attached are 2 photos of the elevation knob on a CMP Service Grade mixmaster SA 2435XXX. I don't remember ever seeing the "SMC" and I think the other is "NHC" (?). Any info on what companies these are? Thanks -

According to information on the garanddata websight the SMC is Storm Manufacturing Co.made for New Haven Clock(NHC) and the NHC is New Haven Clock. Both are post war production.
Thanks JWB. Guess I better bookmark Garand Data; altho' when I went there my computer is saying the site is infected.
How long has it been infected?I copied the sight knob info off several months ago.
It has been infected for quite a while now. You can't get to the M1 rifle information at all. I'm running Norton antiVirus and it blocks an intrusion attempt every time I go there. I'm sure somebody with more computer skills should go into better details of the problems there. I sure miss the rifle data he has stored there.
I'll refrain from posting the "painfully obvious" and assume the original poster knows everything also.
Your call....but it remains a distinction without any difference.
I was just passing along the remarks noted in the list on garanddata.Perhaps you should advise them as to the "painfully obvious" nature of their remarks.
Your answer directly implies that there is a T105 rear sight that is something other than Post-War. That is not true. No matter who did it.....it's misleading at best.
PS, not sure how (or why) you accessed that site, but my AV says it's a pest-hole that the prudent should run, not walk away from
The question was asking for identification of the sight knob markings.I saw no question about a sight ID.I implied nothing,I simply repeated published information.I was warned this sight was a waste of time populated by swelled heads.Adios
