Just stumbled across these sights coming up at auction tomorrow (10th Feb) in the UK.
These are not something I've seen or noticed before as my interest has been 4Ts and later. I've no connections or interests in the item but they seem to be rare by all accounts and may be of interest to SMLE & sniper collectors on here.

We've discussed them at different times here...presently 2600 GBP...Good-god!
I didn't notice the bids, I only saw the estimate which, of itself, I thought was pretty steep.
Now up to 4100 GBP and the live auction hasn't started yet!
I'm pretty certain those are post war commercial sights, not even the military version
