Private Jenkins is carrying a Smith-Corona '03-A3.

Mr. Beard,
How on Earth can you determine that?
Best,
VET70
Well, I have to correct my posting.
Pvt. Jenkins is carrying either a Smith-Corona '03-A3 or an early Remington '03-A3.

Shucks, John. I really thought you had a trick up your sleeve. Truly I am continually impressed with your power of observation.
Jim
I know I shouldn't be revealing John's secrets, but he has this large collection of tea leaves he consults.....
:D
Dang! I thought JB used chicken innards to devine the secrets of the '03 :>)
I would guess Smith Corona since it has a parkerised front band.
Thanks for the info, I did not know that. Even though this could have been easily changed the front sight cover is also looks to be parkerized. Weren't Remington sight covers blued and SC parked?
i dissagree, iv yet to see any Remington A3,s with parkerized bands, that werent rebuilds.
though, iv yet to see them all.
