Riding weather is here !

Time to start the yearly fleet rotation riding cycle today out and about with the 1199S Tricolore (Italian for 3 colours) they are an end of run bike.
This bike new in 2012 with all the goodies the chap put on it and had done made it a $45,000/Aud motorcycle fairly expensive but the 1199 Superleggera was around $80,000/Aud.

Anyhow;
Out riding with some good friends today so gave my wife the opportunity to ride our 1199S Tricolore.
I will say she handled it very well nothing silly reckoned the bike was smooth that's until the bumps in the road started.
The retort then was the bike is very stiff and the seat uncomfortable (It has a comfort seat) welcome to Panigale land ! :madsmile:
She was very happy to get back on her Supersport Ducati anyway good for her having as go of a fairly angry bike. :thup:

So I'm pretty happy considering what that bike will do if you really throttle it up!

It's finally cooling off in Texas so I'll be getting my couch on wheels out of the garage soon.

Things have changed, my 1973 Suzuki 500 cost me $3000CDN all in...

Never bought a new bike. Most of them didn't even run when I got them. All but one cost less than $200.00 US. None head turning, but all fun in their own way.

I had a $300CDN 1968 Honda 305 Dream, that was non head turning...

What a coincidence. My older brother had a Honda 305 Dream Touring and taught me to ride motorcycles on it. That was 1966.

Mine was about 1972, I was the 6th owner. And a 1968. You never see them now, not even collectable I guess. This was in Ontario too.

I have already had the pleasure of collecting a 'roo on my Z1R at night doing well lets say well above the posted speed limit of 110Kph outcome was bike though fairly damaged was rideable.
Roo dead as a doornail it was only about a 4 1/2 foot tall roo but shock and adrenalin do funny things I was pretty ****ed off at the roo who bounded away from me as I committed to the Rt hander then Flippin' heck did a u-bolt straight into my front wheel, so I grabbed it around the throat one handed shook the beegeezers out of it then tossed it away like a rag doll.
After which things got painful so I stood the bike up and laid down beside it, it was night, a very isolated road 20 k's south of Mullewa on the Mullewa/Morowa rd a real backwater place but luckily a car came along after the bus that shot passed never stopping, got the bike going he road it back to the farm and I drove his ute.
Ended up in Hospital but that's another tale!:yikes:

1972 dt 250.

My first ever motorcycle was a 1968 Norton P11A that I bought used in 1970. Prior to that I was riding my brother's Hondas, Harley's Yamahas and Triumphs. Unfortunately I have no pictures of it but here is what it looked like in 1970, 'cept mine was blue.

1970ish received a 250 Allstate motorcycle. A Big solid motorcycle. Rode it for about 2 years. Enjoyed it a lot.
