Planets aligned and I acquired this Sauer & Sohn Model 1913.
It is in remarkable shape; serial number is in the 1916 second model variation range.
The original holster accompanies it.
I am tickled to add it to my modest collection of German WW1 & WW2 era side arms.
Sweet that you got the holster. Love to find one for mine.
IT is cool, though Pistol is in far better condition.
The keeper strap is missing and the stitching on the Mag pouch is pulling at the top on one side. Otherwise for 107 years old it pretty good and the leather still supple.

Looks better now, for sure. Wonder if you could salvage a strap from a more pedestrian holster.
That thought is circulating.
The holster has weak and pulled stitching in the mag pouch. The main seams is tight, but to resew the mag pouch, the main seam would need a re do,
it would need about 2" inches undone anyway to install a replacement keeper strap...all in all about 3-4 hours labor.
There is a guy on utube that restores vintage holsters, he charges $65 per hour.
So, I don't at this time think the cost is justified.
Considering most were no doubt WWI trophies worn for months or years daily by the original owners, the difference in condition between the holsters and the pistols is not so surprising.
