Hi Guys.
I have a full auto Star Z70b in 9mm.
It appears unfired and even unissued with no wear marks.
Serial number is: BT61740.
I will post some photos of it.
Can anyone help with a possible year of manufacture?
Thanks

Neat little SMG...
The major influence of the Sterling on the Star Z70/B (and the earlier Z62 and Z63) was the innovation of furnace brazing to fabricate the receiver. Clearly there are a few other striking similarities, such as the insertion of the barrel into the receiver from the rear, but most of them are common to many submachine guns which, after all, are not very complicated instruments.
The Star submachine guns will not accept Sterling, Sten or Glock magazines.
There was a later Spanish submachine gun designed at CETME --the CB-64-- which more closely resembled the Sterling, but it was never mass-produced.
