The best compilation of markings and such pertaining to Lees out there is "The Broad Arrow" by Ian Skennerton. Unfortunately, they are now out of stock and out of print. Ian has the same problem many of us do who have taken the time and tons of money to print books for a public that no longer wants to buy them. In this new age of free downloads from the internet, book sales have plummeted. I reckon I'm old school because i like to have a small library where I can pluck out a physical book and reference quickly. I still have a 1946 copy of "Small Arms of The World" that my Dad gave me when I was a kid and you should se it! It's literally flogged to death but I learned the basics of many weapons from that old book. I spend so much time working on the computer during any given day that it's not my favorite place to play. I'd much rather be outdoors sending a few rounds down range!

I read your thread and took on board the fair comments you raised on P3, thread 30, Para 1 Colonel. But then I started to read your Para 2.................... Let's just say that I didn't quite come to the same conclusion!

That's quite OK - although I'd be interested to know what brings you to the different conclusion, and which conclusion you did arrive at?
