USMC WW2 Poncho
Hi, I am new to the site, so not sure if my thread should be posted here, if it isn’t, I am sorry.
About 2 years ago, I bought a WW2 USMC Poncho 2nd Model, or I think I did. It has no markings, it is stiff, and still had some of the talcum powder. I would like to know if there are any existing USMC WW2 ponchos without any markings. I can post pictures if required. I bought it from sofmilitary.co.uk for a very reasonable price of £49.99, if it is fake, I have already made my peace, but confirmation would be nice.

I was in the USMC from 1956 to 1959. The type of Poncho in use at that time had green camo on one side and brown on the other. They were fairly stiff, even at that time. They were carried folded over the back of the cartridge belt. I do not believe they had any markings. At least none that I recall. I also have one currently that I picked up somewhere over the years. That one is very stiff and contains no markings. I might add that the M.C. rarely got any new equipment and in the mid 1950's all of our 782 gear was mostly WW2 and Korean war vintage.

Would you recognize one to see it Joe? Maybe if OP shows you...
