2017 Rules
When: After regular CMP rifle match ~ Be at range by 12:00 PM
Cost: 10.00 for days entire series (4 matches)

2017 Equipment Rules:

Ordnance rifle: Any Swiss service rifle in caliber 7.5x55 or 5.6 x 45 utilizing accessories approved by the Swiss shooting federation. Rifles that may be used are: M1889, G11, K11, K31, PE57, PE90 and SIG551, with any Swiss approved metallic sights and Swiss ordnance slings or close equivalent. A G11 rifle band may be substituted on a K11/K31carbine or vis-versa. S front and K rear pattern sights allowed.

Standard rifle: Iron-sighted, manual action rifle or AMT that meets Swiss SSV requirements in any cartridge with a nominal bore between 7.49mm and 7.63 mm, Any type sling allowed.

Trigger weight: G11, K11, K31, 1300 Grams (2.87 lbs)
PE57, PE90, SIG 551 2200 Grams (4.85 lbs)
Standard rifle, AMT 1000 Grams (2.20 lbs)

Shooting aids: Any NRA approved high power shooting accoutrements may be utilized, except as follows: Slings must meet the following requirements: Sling must be made of leather, ordnance length and must be mounted to both ends of the rifle on the ordnance rifle. Approved slings are the leather M11, M31, Mueller leather weave, M57 or close equivalent. PE57, AMT and PE90 shall use the issue bipod in matches where allowed. SIG551 only may use the PE90 pattern sling or web equivalent.


Conduct of matches:

Prior to start of matches a 10-minute zeroing period will be allowed. Matches will be fired in the following order: Obligatorisch (OB), Feldschiessen (FE), Einselwettschiessen (EI), Meisterschaft in 2 or 3 stellung (MS-2/3). Sighter targets will be supplied for the EI and MS match, which may be used by the shooter during these matches, but not during the OB or FE matches. The prone stage score of the Einselwettschiessen may be used toward the Meisterschaft if fired the same day. Scores from one day’s stage may not be applied to another days match scores.


Obligatorish and Feldschiessen matches:

Only ordnance rifles may be used. All shots are fired prone. PE57 and PE90 will use the bipod. Rifles with issued sights or fine adjusters may use a forward arm/hand support. Rests may be packed knapsacks, no bench-reset equipment allowed. Rifles with diopters front and rear may only use an elbow/forearm support without the non-firing hand or wrist resting on the support. Ordnance leather pattern slings or equivalent only. Shooters under 20 and above age 60 may use a forward hand support in both matches regardless of sights used.

Einselwettschiessen Match:

Shooters may not use any support in Einselwettschiessen other than approved slings, shooting coats and gloves or bipods if the rifle is so equipped. No elbow support.

Meisterschaft Matches:

All ordnance and Standard rifles may be used in the Meisterschaft in 2 stellung. Standard rifles, AMT, G11, K11 and K31 rifles only may be used in the Meisterschaft in 3 stellung. Kneeling rolls are allowed.

Awards:

Obligatorisch, Feldschiessen and Einselwettschiessen:

Certificates will be presented to shooters who achieve the scores shown in table 1 below. Certificates will be issued for the high score achieved each year above the stated minimum.
Shooting medals will be awarded once per year. At the end of the last match in (November) all of the scores above the medal mark will be tallied. The shooter in each match with the highest series will receive a gold engraved medal and every individual above the medal cut off an engraved Silver medal.

Meisterschaft:
At the end of the last match in the year (November) all of the scores above the medal mark will be tallied. The shooter with the highest score in each class will receive a gold engraved medal, the 2nd place an engraved silver medal and the 3rd and below an engraved bronze medal. Medals will be presented at the December CMP lunch. Medals not picked up will be mailed.
