I have certainly been on the lookout for it tenOC.
Heck I have a better condition IBM flip that I would trade to get the Vee notched flip back to its rightful place.
Yep; when you least expect it.

OK so what's so special with the front and rear sights being modified this way. The vast majority of them were done post war.
Update on my quest:
The buyer of the push safety sent me a message regarding seeing a J.U. stamped trigger listed on the sellers page, the same day the other parts from the IBM were posted. Using auction site advanced search, I found it.
Also of note: The lot/tracking number seller used on both auction sites for the IBM parts was "#5521".
IBM integrated ~37,500 triggers from Underwood between 9-43 & 11-43. The shipments, authorizations and or requests were documented. WarBaby! pg. 483

That would be the one I saw with many of the other parts from your IBM. Knowing what I know now I wish I had bought the mag catch too, it just didn't make sense given the price and the fact I already have two spare IBM catches.

Okay, I am curious, based on what were the majority of them notched postwar? Hopefully, I didn't misunderstand your point.

That would be the one that was mixed in with the rest of that IBM's parts. Knowing what I know now I wish I had bought the mag catch, but between the pricing and fact I already have two spare IBM catches I couldn't justify it.
Update:
Original sights have been located and currently working out trade with buyer.
Picked up the barreled receiver from my local FFL today. Pictures added to album below; have a look.
