I received an email from MILSURPS.COM member Amatikulu. He graciously forwarded a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet of information on No.32 scopes for the Enfield No.4(T) sniper rifle, which he got some years ago from a Dutch collector called Harry Bindels. I've converted the current spreadsheet to a universal PDF file and I'll try to contact Harry and get it updated, if possible. The spreadsheet has Dutch language headers, but there's a translation table at the very bottom to understand what they mean.
In essence it's a spreadsheet that attempted to track various scopes by serial number, as to where they were officered for sale, who sold them and also who bought them.

I'm looking for assistance in finding a scope for a Fazakerly 4(T) done in 1945, which went to a display, about 8 yr. ago, during which someone stole the No. 32 scope. The scope did match the rifle. This is the property of the Elgin Military Museum, in St. Thomas, Ont., so we are understandably not happy with its loss.
It is #23982. If anyone comes across it, it is stolen property.
Also if someone has a scope for sale, we would also be interested in purchasing one to complete our exhibit. In either case, you can contact me, or the museum.
Thanks to all.
Hi All,
Badger has tracked me down!! I will send him an update on the latest scopelist I have on my computer.
Have fun!!

Hello!
I am looking for No.32 Mk1 "H.B.M. Co" scope Serial # 9745.
I have a No.32 Mk1 "Watson" scope Serial # 1383, in a Roger Payne mount, available to trade for the H.B.M. scope ONLY.
Thanks, Chuck
I have a M47C, C/i\ marked, 1944 dated no4mk1(T) serial no B38512 which is looking for it's scope and bracket. Unfortunately the butt was swapped on this rifle, so if you have a rifle serial number 3292 and scope no 3255, let me know and we can work something out.
I just want folks to know that it wasn't our service in the USA at BDL LTD to Peter Laidler that lost your scope. We've done almost 250 and have never lost one. Folks in Europe and Australia should send them to G.E. Fulton & Sons in Bisley for the repair service offered which is also performed by Peter. ATB.

No4 Mk1 Trials rifle needs No32 Mk1 scope S/N 5966 (oddly high number for a trials, but it appears to have been the only # applied to the wrist) or something very early but in good working order.
No4 Mk1(T) 1944 E prefix s/n needs S/N 124 (probably Vickers No32 Mk2/1) scope.
ETA Oh, yeah -- Also need Canadian C No32 Mk? S/N (C)270
I have a No32 Mk1 scope that I'll unlimber if I get a replacement. S/N to follow, but I think its in the 7000's. Its been on at least two other rifles.
Ok,
I have rifle X33021 with scope 23631 (A&KS Mk III)
Matching ;-)
I've run across:
74L0118 1944 No 4 Mk 1 * Longbranch (T)
Bracket: 74L0122
Optic: Lyman Alaskan, 4389S
(Note, the 4389S was stamped in the wrist of the stock too, so I think the scope is the correct s/n for the rifle, but somehow the mount is wrong?)
Anyhow, it's the No4(T) that's used as the Chouinard Trophy (top 2 man reg-force sniper pair).

Looking for scope matching to 1943 M47C rifle (A) 0780 . If I correctly understood it that the scope No. should be marked on the stock in front of the cheekpiece, I'm looking for scope No. 19382 (or 19332?). There's another number below that, but nearly scratched out and not readable.

Hi,
I have a 1945 No4Mk1(T) in superb shape but with unfortunately mismatched parts.
She's mounted with a nice Mk111 refurb by BDL/Peter Laidler who did a superb job on sticky turrets and also nicely refinished front portion of ocular piece.
Scope # 24657 would consider swapping only to help another collector.
Looking for #28678 as per wrist numbering.
Looking for bolt # X34588
current mismatch bolt #N33955
Bracket #R32816
Looking for help and willing to help too.

BSA rifle no M39454 looking for scope no 24304. Thanks.
As I have been told that my bracket serial number does not match my rifle serial number and the fact that the scope serial number is not on the stock at the wrist I am almost postive that I just want an original No. 32 scope. If there is any other way of identifying a number for my scope please let me know. My rifle only has 1 single digit in the scope number area. No repros and am willing:banghead: to trade off rifles too if that interests you.

How did it end up here?
Seems like an awful lot of folks here are looking for the same thing, a missing No.32 scope for their T. I also need one for my M47C T serial number of rifle is P36774. Mine has no scope serial number stamp on the upper wrist area just what I thought was a single digit but I just looked at it again and it is a single letter in that area. H is all that is there.
So, I guess I have no idea what serial number the original scope was. Maybe this one was one of the unscoped, unused sniper T's??? I guess what I am needing in this case would be any serviceable, original No.32 scope that best matches a 1944 Shirley T. :banghead:
No32 MkII Serial Number 15169 wanted.
No32 MkII Serial Number 14678 on ePay with seller "johnypugit".
No32 MkI HBMCo. serial number 4388 sold on eBay by seller "eckman44"
(Seller's ID is given so that future viewers of this thread can find the seller and perhaps the buyer, should they have a reason to do so)
Still looking for scope #8975.
Also have complete scope mount #AP6786 that I would be willing to trade.
contatct via forum or marios5469@aol.com
It would expedite this scope matching business and the other similar threads if a simple list or spreadsheet could be produced and posted here with periodic additions.

RESULT:
Through the help of Brian Dick at BDL. Ltd. in South Carolina, the owner of this scope 1872 bracket for rifle AP5783 and case was located in the last few months and negotiations began. A deal was struck and I shipped the rifle off 2016-08-17 on to Brian Quandt in Nebraska via Bordrview in Lynden, WA, which handles fireams transactions across the US-CANADA border.
Thank you to Peter Laidler as well for the tip.

To make a short update, I have the following No. 4 T rifles:
- BSA No. 4 T 1943, Indian refurbished, now serial 0780. Butt serialized to scope 19382, below that another unreadable number. It carries No. 32 Mk. III by AK & S No. 17522 from 1945. Bracket with this scope has been serialized to four rifles total, aside of serial 38492 all being lined out (serials lined out are B31132, B34618 (not sure on the last three digits) and 34715 (not sure on first two and last digit))
- BSA No. 4 T 1944, serial 37796. Butt serialized to scope 19493 (while the second 9 could also be 0 or 8, it is factory overstamped). It carries No. 32 Mk.I by HBMCo. No. 9489. Bracket with this scope is serialized to A30337
- RFI 1962 No. 4 MK1/2 serial ???. Butt serialized (non-originally) to 16026. It carries No. 32 Mk.II coded OS from 1944, serial 16026. Bracket with this scope has several serials, aside of serial A0157T all lined out (serials lined out are K 75022 and U92880)
- Savage No. 4 T serial 14C2418 from 1942 (S51 marked buttstock). It carries No. No. Mk.3 OS 2039A T No. 20622 (not sure on the second digit?). Bracket with this scope marked with KD (?) has been serialized to a lined out serial (which I can't read) and is now serialized to another unreadable number, both scope and bracket black painted.
- Enfield No. 4 T Trials from 1931, A1906, with scope bases removed and replaced buttstock (not serialzed to rifle for what I know), butt serialized to scope 15905, where I am not sure on the second digit
- Indian No. 4 Mk.1/2 T serial A0228T from 1962, butt appears to have had serial 37??. No scope or bracket with this rifle
I have Long Branch No. 4 MK. I* (T) serial number 80L8006 looking for >>> ANY <<< C No. 32 MK. 4 (later renumbered C No. 67 MK. I) scope and mount. The butt had been changed in the past, so I do not know the original scope number.
