Just bought a nice 1860 Army SN 115430 (1863 build). Not sure if it's still PC to ask for SRS help on the forum, but Colt Forum lists this SN as going to Co I, 3rd Michigan Vol Cavalry, but no ship date. Greatly appreciate any help...

Perfectly acceptable, I just don't have detailed info on the 1860...I was surprised I had anything. They'll be along shortly...

Looks like replacement nipples, did the previous owner shoot it?

Thanks sir. Near certain they are replacements...not a hint of rust. But the gun itself is the only history I have...plus the intriguing Colt Forum info about its Civil War receiving unit. Thus the desire to find a ship date from SRS if it exists.Quote:
