Winchester Self Loading Rifles
These have been around a long time, the first models were the 1905 chambered in 32 WSL and 35 WSL, then the 1907 which you have pictured in 351 cal, last is the Model 1910 in 401 WSL.
France ordered the Model 1907 and some Model 1910 rifles during WW1, some Model 1907 rifle were converted to full auto and delivered to France on the Salonika Front Some French Model 1907 rifles had a bayonet too. France manufactured both 401 and 351 cartridges. France also developed the 8mm Ribeyrolle by necking down the 351 case.
American gangsters and law enforcement also used the Model 1907 during the 1930's,
Gangsters also converted them to full auto.
I have a Model 1905 three digit serial number made in 1905 in 35 WSL and enjoy shooting a semi auto made in 1905Attachment 79855Attachment 79856Attachment 79857Attachment 79858
