can anyone identify these cartridges ?Attachment 106754
Tracer Red or Orange
Armor Piercing Black
Armor Piercing Incendiary White
Ball Frangible Green tip White Band
Duplex Green tip
Purple tip designates the M276 dim tracer
Colorful bullet tips on 7,62mm, to be fair, I should have provided more details. The green tip L C 64 is the frangible bullet for the M60 m/g but soon discontinued. The red tip is
tracer with a special bullet for helicopter m/g. The purple tip is Japanese low recoil AO W63 with a half NATO cross headstamp, I thought it was the dim tracer but research told
the story. The green tip is the duplex with two 83 gr bullets, had limited use in Viet Nam. The white tip is the low recoil FA 66 with a 90 gr steel core XM 256 design to be in the
M14 rifle for small stature troops (Viet Nam) but never found a following because of the M2 carbine and later M16.
The AP cartridge is headstamped L C 54 and is from a short production run
