Carcano sight question
new to this site, recently bought a m38 carcano 7.35 , manf date 1940, lightly modified. has ca stamped in box on the receiver. the rear sight has a square notch instead of th normal v. front site has 4 flip up posts. 1 pin point, a medium and large post and one with peep site circle type are these normal or add ons ill try post pics

That looks like a later add on. Please post photos of the complete rifle to compare.

Front sight appears to be from a Mossberg .22 caliber rifle.

Front sight is definitely incorrect. Rear sight MIGHT be correct for a Finnish rifle. I can't access mine easily and only have photos to compare and the only photo of the rear sight showing the groove is a top down shot that looks like yours. Can't see a "V", looks square. Not offering that as definitive proof, just saying what the photo looks like.
I'm assuming your CA in a box is actually an SA in a box which means it was transferred to Finland. They were sticklers for accuracy and may have modified the rear sight for their shooting style sight picture. They did NOT put that front sight on it.
