Anyone else getting "blocked" by an alleged "security' site?
Nothing here.
I've struck it before, particularly on public access PC's such as the ones you might see at motels.
Often the keywords for the block are "German militaria" which the software considers harmful apparently.
These are the perpetrators.
You are being redirected...
Anyone more net savvy than me, (not hard, I believe me), know anything about them?
I suspect that they may need "attitude adjustment"
Get the odd one, but since I changed my virus protection after losing the lot with a Cryptolock virus, I find that I get constant warnings with some sites, especially Gunboards, with all it's ads.
Bruce..
They are not perpetrators, but rather the good guys.
I think this type of issue is explained in the site help Q&A area.... ;)
How safe from viruses and hackers am I when using the Milsurps.Com web site? (click here)
It's possible that our Sucuri Virus Protection Firewall Status (click here) detected something anomalous in your attempted post, which caused it to temporarily "black list" the IP address you were connected from, which usually remains in effect for a few hours. I have seen that before, particularly from some Australian and UK Internet providers, but I'm not sure why it seems isolated to them.
If that was the case, it appears that the "black listing" was lifted somewhat, as you were able to at least post this complaint thread just fine.
It should be noted that there's some serious virus and hacker activity going on lately with various gun sites. Jouster was hit several times in the last few weeks, infecting their members with a Trojan horse virus, which gets carried by their members to other web sites. GunBoards has also had a similar problem.
We know that some of our members coming here after visiting those sites have carried that virus here, attempting to spread it to other people who use our site. However, when they try to post anything, the Sucuri Firewall blocks them from doing so, thereby protecting the site and our membership from being infected.
I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem you're expriencing, but I will check with our Sucuri Firewall provider tech support and see if you're IP address is being trapped and "black listed" because of a false positive.

Doug
Follow up....
Tech support from our Sucuri Firewall Service (click here) responded as to why their automated firewall is blocking your attempt to reply and add additional posts, ONLY in the thread titled Pineapple grenade (click here)
This "Remote Command Execution" method is often used by hackers and others to inject a virus into a site. That's not to say that's what you were doing with your post to the the thread above, but that's what Sucuri's automated firewall software thought you were attempting to do. So, to protect our site and all of its other members from possibly being infected with a Trojan horse virus or something else, it blocked your IP address from posting whatever the content was you were attempting to upload, ONLY to that thread.Quote:
His request is a POST request that is being blocked by CloudProxy, the request is triggering our "Remote Command Execution".
Any chance you've been to Jouster or Gunboards lately?
Regardless, once I assured Sucuri that you were one of the good guys, they have "white listed" your IP address, however, they are still checking for any Trojans you (or any other members) may have picked up elsewhere and be transporting around the Internet.
All should be good for now and you should be able to add your next post to the thread titled Pineapple grenade (click here)

Doug
Thanks Badger, it's good to know what is out there and how your site security looks after itself and all of us.
