Inland Div. Carbine in 4.6x30 ?

Hello everyone,
new to the forum so please be gentle. LoL
I acquired a collection of quite a few Mausers. Carbines and Destroyer 9mm Largo & Luger,
But this one stands out I have a Inland Div. m1 30 carbine but it is chambered in a 4.6x30 HK round with a Fajen Manlicher Stock. Im sure this is not original as I have 2 already.Question is, Is this an original or converted ?? I have never seen any conversion kits or heard of anyone doing this. Serial numbers puts in Jan 1945 - August 1945.
Any help or more info would be great and whats it worth in really good shape ?

No, of course this one isn't original, there were some after the fact in 5.7MMJ but they weren't original either. .22 Spitfire - Wikipedia

This is just another attempt to make something neat for a shooter. Looks older and it's worth what you can get for it as is any "Custom" firearm. You change it so radically that it's a one off and no one else has need...and doesn't see it's beauty. Few more pics would be nice though as long as you're here...?

The 4,6x30mmHK cartridge has a chamber pressure of 58,000 psi while the original 30M1 carbine cartridge has a chamber pressure of 38,500 psi.

This is an expensive conversion and will be expensive to shoot

Thanks a bunch guys, extremely knowledgeable guys on here... I have a bunch of Mausers to with double set triggers and some with the butter knife type bolt and full mannlicher stock stamped Oberndof and Krup Stahl. One has an original steyr sniper scope.

Why not let us have a look at these others too? This one has been polished and completely overhauled. I wouldn't mind trying it myself, just for interest.

There were many conversions of the 30 carbine to different calibers. The most common was the .22 by Melvin Johnson who had tried to sell it to the US military. They liked the idea but needed a heavier bullet and higher velocity but with the .30 carbine case it could not be done. Melvin Johnson who designed the Johnson automatic rifle keep the idea going by making conversions available and even offered his own line of factory ammo and reloading equipment. It was not a great success. Even today if one is found at a dealer it will most likely sit on his self for sale for a long period of time. The last one I saw along with a box of factory ammo, fired cases and dies sat on a dealers shelf for over a year and a half. He kept dropping the price and finally got rid of it is a large trade with another dealer.

Oh and there is ammo floating around for the 4.6x30 as designed by HK. as stated above the pressure is far to high for the carbine to handle safely. at least 3 companies in Europe have made this ammo.
