Mystery Item Identification

Good afternoon to everyone.

I have this mystery item that came with a few WW1 German/Austro-Hungarian small relic odds and end items that the eBay seller said were found in a Austro-Hungarian trench in the Ukraine. Some of the items are obviously WW1 German and there is a Austro-Hungarian dog tag but I am not sure on what this item is.

The hole looks to be threaded and it looks like it could be some kind of "winder" or "pin handle" other than that I have no idea on what it is?

Any suggestions on what it is will be greatly received. Many thanks for any replies.
