DVS
Does anyone know the origin of DVS cartouche....Observed on upper handguard leading edge, topside....Is there a rime or reason with regards to rivet type used during production...Brass rivets for the Brits or the yanks...thanks for the info....regards....alex

Just an observation from experience, the original WWI handguards had the brass rivets on all I have examined P14 and M1917. The replacement WWII handguards I've dealt with had steel or iron rivets. The cartouche is probably the WWII era manufacturers marking. There were different companies that made them.
