I really love these Long Branch No4 Mk1*'s. This is number 3 in my collection and I hadn't seen one in years. A 75 year old time machine.......

Yes, a pretty honest looking rifle. Wood looks to be stained birch.
Not stained, just Linseed Oil which darkens over the years. Thanks to General Alexander Archer Vandegrift and the 1st Marine Division, the Japanese never invaded NZ and the rifles went into storage. This rifle has no import marks and a perfect bore. My 1942 NZ No4 has the Broad Arrow and NZ on the L side of the wrist band and this one is on the receiver. Who says Birch isn't beautiful?Quote:
