When I saw this post, I had no idea it was in Toronto...I was raised close there. Can't imagine someone actually believing that. The flash eliminator lying there is from an FN...probably Canadian too. Sad...
No, I think that was Hitler's personal rifle that he was using when he was "killed, fighting for Germany". Actually, it is rather cute. Would kick like a mule with factory milsurp ammo. We used to buy crates of that ammo and shoot those little carbines. Great fun, but kickers, for sure.
Hey, it's a beautiful little rifle, excellent workmanship, I'd love to have it - but not for that ridiculous price! No collector value, of course, since it's been sporterized, even if it is beautifully done.
Just one point though: If you're going to pass off a $300 gun as belonging to an SS officer, you probably shouldn't engrave the LUFTWAFFE emblem on it. Just sayin'... :clap:

That would actually be funny if it wasn't so sad. I wonder if the seller is just that naive or if he made the SS bit up out of whole cloth.
