Parker Hale 300 Win Magnum, refurbed
Hi folks,
this isn't something too common in my shop, but a Parker Hale chambered in 300 WSM ended up here. It needed a new butt pad and refinishing of the stock. (varnish was flaking off, and some exposed wood showed early signs of mildew or discoloration).
Cleaning the varnish was quite a task, the usual "soft" varnish remover didn't work, so I needed something more on the "industrial strength" side of things. Patience was needed, especially to clean the checkering.

Fitting the butt pad is something I enjoy doing; somewhat of a new skill to be acquired for me, but I enjoy it.

A little lindeed oil later (a few coats), and a really good cleaning of all the parts, she went to a new happy owner.
